Even though cobalt blue glass has been produced consistently over the past 400 years or so, genuine naturally tumbled blue sea glass is a rare find. Real sea glass has a slightly uneven texture and a powdery frost that cannot be replicated. In fact of the whopping 4kg's or so that Kriket recently found at Seaham, only 3 were blue.
We are currently in a bit of a frenzy in the studio, preparing for our first stall at Handmade Canberra on September 7th and 8th. Over the past ten years, Canberra’s award winning Handmade Market has become one of the country’s largest, independent Australian-made markets.
We work from a little studio at the back of Kriket’s house. Our days are filled with hard work and lots of laughs. We obsess over each piece of glass, setting aside really unique one-off pieces for pendants, rings or bangles, and hunting down as many pairs as we can for earrings.
